This is a celebration of who do not identify with the traditional ‘Male or Female’ gender norms. It is a day to celebrate their journeys and focus on the issues and inequalities that they face.
Today marks 34 years since the NZ Homosexual Law Reform Bill
Today marks 34 years since the NZ Homosexual Law Reform Bill was enacted & passed into law. The New Zealand Homosexual Law Reform Act 1986 is a law that legalised consensual sex between men aged 16 and older. It removed the provisions of the Crimes Act 1961 that criminalised this behaviour.

Anniversary of the Stonewall
Friday marks the Anniversary of the Stonewall riots, and birth of what we now call Pride. ‘It helped pave the way for everything and there’s still more to come’ – Hundreds gathered in NYC to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots.
